Chronic Illness + Heat Wave = Bad.
No post this week! Please stay safe in this heat wave.
Hello all!
You may or may not know that my body is riddled with multiple chronic illnesses that want me to suffer for some reason.
You may also know that the US is experiencing a record heat wave (Please for the love of god stay safe and hydrated).
If you are also chronically ill, you may know where this is going.
Chronic illness + crazy weather = Bad. Real bad.
Unfortunately there will be no post today, as I spent most of the past week trying to convince my body that we were not going to die.
I will be back next week with another post!
And while we’re on the topic…I’ve decided to change the monthly post up a little bit. Sometimes it may still be about a writing book, yes, but I think it’s also beneficial for us as playwrights to read published work as well. This can give us a little insight, perhaps, into what agents consider to be “publishable”, if that’s something that you care about. So, the monthly book review may sometimes be of a published play that you can purchase in stores, instead of an NPX play that you can read for free (with a yearly $12 subscription).
Sound good? Good.
Please stay safe in this ungodly heat! Drink water! Stay inside or in a pool or something! Look out for your elderly and/or disabled neighbors!
